Get this: even if you're a superstar like Zendaya, first-day nerves on a new film set can have you literally frozen in place. On her inaugural day shooting Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey," Zendaya found herself unable to deliver her lines thanks to Iceland's teeth-chattering temperatures. Now that's what we call a cold welcome!

Pouring her heart out on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, Zendaya shared, “Here’s the thing. I had my lines and I wanted to have them so down. It was particularly cold. It was in Iceland. My mouth was just frozen. And then words…not happening. They were but a jumbled mess, 'Blah blah blah.' So embarrassing." But hey, we've all been there, ammiright?

Yet despite her frosty flub, Zendaya was delighted to be there. "I was genuinely moved and energized to be part of this and wanted to give my best," she confessed. Now that's the spirit, Zendaya!

And from the mouth of the man himself: the chill and stumbles didn’t put a damper on Christopher Nolan's impression of Zendaya’s performance. Singing her praises in a Fandango interview, he said Zendaya was “always perfect. Always perfect.” To which we say, duh!

And it wasn't just Zendaya. There was a little bit of a "first-day-freakout" club brewing on set. Joining Zendaya was her co-star, Tom Holland. Playing the role of Odysseus' son Telemachus, Holland confessed to Fandango that he thought he was royally messing up. In reality? The director was simply dealing with the constraints of using Imax cameras which can’t run longer than three minutes per take (fun film facts!). Holland chuckles recalling how he overreacted and thought, "What is happening? Does he not like what we are doing?"

Turns out, he was just getting familiar with the specificities of working with Imax cameras - as Hollywood heartthrob Jon Bernthal pointed out, they've only got three minutes of film magic in the chamber. Oops!

Take one thing from all of this: even the pros get jitters on the first day. But take two: they get over it, gear up, and deliver performances that make us movie-goers want to line up for tickets when "The Odyssey" hit theaters on July 17th via Universal Pictures.
