Emmys Roll Out Red Carpet for Stars of Yesteryears: Charlie's Angels & Buffy's Angel!

Monday night's variants on angelic themes at NBC and Peacock's 78th Emmy Awards is set to thrill fans, thanks to the announcement of the show's first round of presenters. Among the fabulous ensemble are the irresistible trio from iconic series "Charlie's Angels", Kate Jackson, Cheryl Ladd, and Jaclyn Smith, all set for a dazzling on-stage reunion as they celebrate the show's neat half-century milestone.

David Boreanaz, the titular "Angel" from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" spinoff, has been tipped a presenter's hat too. Also stepping into the limelight once more is his erstwhile "Buffy" co-star, Sarah Michelle Gellar. Could we witness yet another reunion, fifty stakes not included? Alongside these festivities, Boreanaz is also present to give us a sneak-peek into his new NBC drama remake of "The Rockford Files."

Emmy's last weekend saw "DTF St. Louis" stars Linda Cardellini and David Harbour take home the outstanding limited/anthology actress and actor trophies. Although their victories were to be officially celebrated during the NBC telecast, a scheduling gaffe shifted it to Night 2. Not to fret, as these stars rightly reclaim their time in the spotlight during the upcoming ceremony.

Earning his reality host Emmy this very weekend, Alan Cumming finds himself up for another trophy in the reality competition category; a testament to his charm and skill. Sally Field, our beloved lead actress nominee for her Netflix film "Remarkably Bright Creatures", agelessly competes with the hopes of becoming the category's oldest ever winner at the impressive age of 79. Last, but certainly not least, is the fiercely talented Zendaya, nimbly creeping to set a record herself - the youngest performer, at just 24, to take home three lead drama Emmys, courtesy of her "Euphoria" performance.

As the awards prepare to roll out their red carpet, the promise of more stellar presenters to be announced leaves us on the edge of our seats. The 78th Emmys broadcast live from Emirates Peacock Theater in LA starts at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Monday, Sept. 14, only on NBC and Peacock.

At the helm is the indomitable Mariska Hargitay, the "Law & Order SVU" star-cum-producer and recipient of two Emmys this weekend for her touching documentary "My Mom Jayne." Alongside her are the skilled Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay of Jesse Collins Entertainment, all set to blow the roof off as the Gala night's executive producers.
