This past July 4th weekend, while most were busy with barbecues and fireworks, President Donald Trump was serving up a delicious smackdown on his prime time celebrity critics using the "fake" ailment known as “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

Using the dapper avatar of “Dr. Trump,” a video was posted on the President’s Truth Social account just before Cinderella's clock struck midnight. The video, mimicking a pharmaceutical advertisement, humorously had Trump donning a white coat and assuring he had the perfect remedy for the make-believe disease of “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

All in jest, the video showcased X-rated testimonials from glaring celebrity critics like Rosie O’Donnell, Whoopi Goldberg of "The View", and the tough-guy Robert De Niro, all claiming to suffer from “TDS.” Adding to the parody were AI versions of other acclaimed stars like Julia Roberts, John Leguizamo, and Edward Norton.

In jest or not, Trump seems to take the concept of “TDS” with a pinch of salt, humorously stating at a White House event in May that it’s “actually a disease," citing an unverified claim.

The late Rob Reiner was also alluded to in the “TDS” context in a post penned by Trump on Truth Social posthumously after his untimely demise in December. Trump hinted in jest that the iconic director and actor may have met his end through “TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.”

The satire rolls on in the video as a virtual O’Donnell wails, expressing her decade-long suffering, only for Dr. Trump's miraculous treatment to show some results. Digital De Niro, joining in the jest, laments over the syndrome making him unrecognizable and impacting his life negatively.

In the same vein, the AI representation of Julia Roberts bemoans her premature aging due to "TDS."

And how does the good "Dr. Trump" treat this fictitious ailment? His tongue-in-cheek prescription is to cut off the "fake news" supply, resort to prayer, and if in doubt, pop open a Diet Coke!

Trump’s social account is ever buzzing with such amusing AI-generated content, from him depicted as a Christ-like figure to him as Superman. One such post that had the Internet chuckling was Trump as a king in a fighter jet, wreaking hilarious havoc on New York protesters.

However, not all Trump's posts land softly. An AI video depicting Barack and Michelle Obama in problematic lights drew criticism even from his own Republican comrades. The video was later removed without any apologies from Trump, who enjoyed the start of it.

All considered, satire theater at its finest was never more entertaining than with the hilarious “Dr. Trump” spoof.
