This latest masterpiece from Na's vault premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year and has been penciled in by Neon for a U.S. release this September. Featuring an exclusive intro from Korea’s latest sensation, Hoyeon of the “Squid Game” fame, get ready to dive deep into the most engaging conversation with Na.
Set in the distant nook named Hope Harbor, the movie unravels a chilling tale. A cryptic creature unleashes mayhem in this serene village. While the police join hands with local hunters to hunt down the beast, they soon find themselves becoming the prey. The plot thickens, proving that things are not always what they seem.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the legendary line-up at Comic-Con. There’s no other place quite comparable!” shared an excited Na. “I hope to share my work and engage with one of the best audiences in the world with our latest venture 'Hope', a product of a 10-year long passion project. I look forward to meeting you all just before we hit the U.S. theaters in September. San Diego, here we come!”

Critics are already raving about “Hope”. Variety's Jessica Kiang hailed it as one of the " … the best - and the most hilarious - action movies ever made." Na's walk to fame continues as the film will be the highlight at the North American premiere at the New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF). But that's not all! Na will be awarded the NYAFF’s Daniel A. Craft Award for Excellence in Action Cinema.
Director Na's journey to success started with “The Chaser” (2008), which premiered at the 61st Cannes Film Festival and swept the Korean cinema like a storm, becoming the third-highest-grossing film in South Korea that year. He made a mark with his following films “The Yellow Sea” (2010) and “The Wailing” (2016), both of which featured at the Cannes Film Festival.
Final treat: there's an exclusive Comic-Con poster in store for all you die-hard fans out there! Fasten your seat belts for a thrilling ride with Na Hong-Jin at the San Diego Comic-Con.
