Get ready for an exciting tail-wagging adventure in the upcoming children’s animated film “Charlie the Wonderdog,” featuring the voice talents of Hollywood's own Owen Wilson. This doggone great movie has been scooped up by Viva Kids and is set to unleash fun and laughter in theaters come January 16.

The plot of the movie has so many twists and turns, it'll make your head spin - in a fun way, of course! Our hero, Charlie, Who happens to be a family pet, finds himself on an unexpected journey when he gets beamed up by aliens. But that's not the end of it-our little Charlie ends up gaining superpowers in the process, which turn him into Charlie the Wonderdog, everyone's favorite superhero pup! The film showcases timeless themes including friendship, loyalty, resilience, as well as power and responsibility to fit them all.

Victor Elizalde, CEO of Viva Kids, is all but wagging his tail with excitement, stating that “‘Charlie the Wonderdog’” has all the winning elements they look for in a family film. Shea Wageman helmed the film as director and co-writer with Steve Ball at his side. The film was brought to life by Wageman and producer Carson Loveday, with Michael Balfry and Bahar Dehghanian serving as the executive producers. And expect to hum to Bryan Adams tunes, thanks to an original score by Petteri Saino.

According to Shea Wageman, who also happens to be ICON Creative CEO, they’re popping the champagne at having Viva distribute Charlie in the U.S. “Their marketing innovations, enthusiasm, and wide reach is exactly what ‘Charlie’ needs to reach family audiences in the theater and eventually at home. Roll on January 16th!", he adds with anticipation.
