Grande Joins the "Meet the Parents" Squad in Fourth Installation
- Jun 2, 2025
Ariana Grande has bagged herself another big-screen role, this one in Universal's upcoming flick, "Meet the Parents 4". She's jumping on the Studio train, fresh after her glittering performance as Glinda in "Wicked" that bagged her an Oscar nomination. This time, she's entering the comedic world of "Meet the Parents," aligning her star with big names like Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro.
The iconic comedy series, which includes the original 2000 film "Meet the Parents," followed by "Meet the Fockers" and "Little Fockers," has racked up a whopping $1.13 billion in global box office sales. The fourth installation sure has some big shoes to fill!
Imagine if you will, Grande, known globally for her chart-topping tracks, stepping into one of the most successful comedy franchises in history! What a ride that's going to be! But hold your horses, movie fans! The plot for this fresh sequel is being tucked in tighter than a Hollywood A-lister pre-red carpet. All we have to go on is a teaser from producer Jane Rosenthal, who brilliantly hinted in Variety, "Stiller is now the same age as De Niro was when we did the first one. His kids are grown up, and now, they're the ones coming home to meet the parents."
John Hamburg, the genius behind the screenplays for all three prior movies, has once again donned his writing and directing hats for the fourth installment of the beloved series. Mark your calendars, folks, as Universal has scheduled the release for November 25, 2026.

There's quite a power-packed team spearheading this project, including big wigs like De Niro and Rosenthal through Tribeca Productions, Jay Roach from Delirious Media, and Stiller and John Lesher from Red Hour Films.
Despite the intricate connections dipping Grande into this comedic adventure (after all, her highly anticipated chapter of Jon M. Chu's adaptation of the Broadway musical "Wicked: For Good," is set to hit theaters in November this year), this casting move truly is a win for everyone. Grande, a uber popular icon with nine Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits and two Grammy wins to her name, proves herself, again and again, to be a force to be reckoned with both in music and on the big screen.
And for all you Ariana fans out there, Grande is guided by the illustrious CAA, Good World Management, The Lede Company, and Myman Greenspan Fox Rosenberg & Light LLP. Get ready for a heaping of laughs sprinkled with Grande’s charm come fall 2026!
