Whoever said video games don't count as a thrilling night out clearly hasn't played AdHoc Studio's hit super-hero themed video game, "Dispatch." The choose-your-own-adventure style game just dropped its final two installment on Wednesday, marking the grand finale of a hero saga enjoyed by over a million players.

"Dispatch" has certainly stirred up quite the gaming world, offering a zany take on super-hero monotony with ample doses of office comedy. Added to that, the game tosses multiple plot twists at you based on your in-game choices, making it more of a fun romp than a typical gaming evening.

What makes the ending profoundly entertaining is how your choices lead you towards a myriad of narratives, leaving no room for plot spoilers. However, regardless of which substantially diverse paths you end up following, Aaron Paul, the game’s lead voicing Robert Robertson (a.k.a. Mecha Man), hints at potential future adventures.

When asked about the chance for more Dispatch adventures during a talk with Variety, Paul teased, “Maybe, maybe not. With good storytelling, there’s always room. I think it could end perfectly here. But also, the door is definitely slightly a jar, for sure, for more. So we’ll see.”

"Dispatch," throughout its eight-episode inaugural season, centered around a team of misfit heroes, hilariously struggling with the dispatch of heroes for city emergencies. All while juggling the mad circus of office politics, personal relationships, and the thirst for personal heroism.

At the heart of this madhouse sits Robert Robertson, the dispatch operator turned superhero Mecha Man, nursing a damaged suit and a lost career. A role that proved to be quite the rollercoaster for Aaron Paul as he navigated through various storyline outcomes during the recording process.

Paul explained, "With [Robert], the dynamic with a lot of the characters are drastically different because of the gamers’ decisions. That was a little complicated for me. I think this is why it took so long to record. But it was an interesting challenge because you’re just telling such a different narrative and you gotta respond accordingly.”

Surprisingly enough, Paul doesn't have a preferred narrative for Robert at the wrap up of Episode 8 of "Dispatch". He says, "They’re all so interesting and it leaves the audience, I think, wanting more, no matter where you land, which is unique. There’s definitely paths that you can take that completely land you somewhere entirely different, and the path forward is like, God knows where that leads, which is really interesting.”

Whatever the future holds for Dispatch, one thing is sure - the game's unique charm will remain etched in the hearts of all who dared to choose their own superhero adventure.
