All those "Boy Meets World" fans out there, this one's for you! We're taking a fun, deep dive with the cast, who are now less "boys" and more "world-weary adults," as they reveal the highs and lows from their journey in '90s sitcom land and where it's taken them. Their recent documentary, "Doc Meets World," which was unveiled at the Tribeca Film Festival, chronicles their return to the beloved world of the show, a whopping 14 years after they said their initial goodbyes.

In this revealing piece, Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and Rider Strong let their guard down, reminiscing about both their early days and the experiences on the reboot, "Girl Meets World," which warmly hogged Disney Channel's limelight from 2014 to 2017. This modern chapter starred the lovable duo, Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter.

One memorable anecdote comes from Frank Pace, the show's producer who worked closely with show creator Michael Jacobs. Pace described working with Jacobs as both a joy ride and a horror show, neatly bundled into one challenging package. One vivid memory was the in-famous table read that kickstarted "Girl Meets World" - a memory perhaps not all too sweet, as Fishel quickly recalled.

"It's a bit of a blur. Mainly because of Michael's fierceness during the table read. Poor Rowan and Sabrina ended up in tears," Fishel confessed, with Pace having to jog her memory. She candidly revealed the harsh realities of the spin-off's inaugural moments involved Jacobs' high expectations and severe criticisms for the young cast, especially for failing to uphold the legacy of "Boy Meets World."

Rider Strong, known for his directing chops on 18 episodes of the spinoff, waxed poetic about revisiting set life and mentoring the younger cast. Deeming it a second shot at reliving his childhood, he appreciated his time under the spotlight, despite a brewing storm behind the scenes. "Michael gave me so much, but I still had to sever ties due to reasons best left unsaid," he reflected, a hint of nostalgia and regret shadowing his words.

Fishel, on her part, was very passionate about focusing on female friendships for "Girl Meets World," not just romantic relationships like its predecessor. She admitted to butting heads with Jacobs over the content of the show, strongly believing in the importance of guidance for the young audience. What followed was a battle over the narrative, resulting in Fishel's assertive pushback, not very well received, against Jacobs - thus adding fuel to their fiery professional relationship.

To bring it full circle, the documentary portrays Fishel, Friedle, and Strong's splendid reunion for the "Pod Meets World" podcast in 2022, where they candidly narrated their experiences of growing up on a hit sitcom. This lively trip down memory lane culminated with a fantastic nationwide podcast tour. The documentary, stirring the pot with nostalgia and unexpected revelations, is helmed by directors Chris Levitus and Zane Rubin, with Alexandra Barreto producing.
