Let's put a spotlight on glory! The Producers Guild of America 2025 has spilled the beans on this year's nominees for the Outstanding Producer of Documentary Motion Pictures award. The films making waves include “The Alabama Solution,” “Cover-Up,” “Mr. Nobody Against Putin,” “My Mom Jayne: A Film by Mariska Hargitay,” “Ocean with David Attenborough,” “The Perfect Neighbor” and “The Tale of Silyan.” Drumroll, please, as the winners will be unveiled at the grand PGA Awards on Feb. 28 at the plush Fairmont Century Plaza, Los Angeles.

Representing the crème de la crème of production in motion pictures, television, and rising media, the Producers Guild Awards honors the brilliant minds whose contributions keep defining and redefining the producing profession.

Ready for their applause at this year's ceremony are Amy Pascal (David O. Selznick Achievement Award), Mara Brock Akil (Norman Lear Achievement Award) and Jason Blum (Milestone Award). The applause still echoes for last year’s outstanding producers; Lizzie Gillett, Robert Ford and Ian Bonhôte, who captured hearts with “Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story,” a gut-wrenching tale of the actor’s fame journey and his subsequent fight for spinal cord injury rights and disability rights after a horrific horse-riding accident left him paralyzed.

Living on the edge of creativity, the PGA Innovation Award nominees include “ASTEROID,” “Big Wave: No Room for Error,” “D-Day: The Camera Soldier,” “territory” and “The Wizard of Oz at Sphere.” This one celebrates those blazing the trail with unique concept, captivating content, and innovative production techniques, while challenging and expanding conventions. The winner who stole the spotlight last year was the immersive animated wonder, “Orbital.”

The suspense will be relieved a tad earlier for the PGA Innovation Award winners at a tantalizing pre-awards ceremony reception in Los Angeles, slated for Feb. 26. While the nominees for sports, children’s, and short form will hold their breath until the announcement this Friday, the theatrical motion pictures, animated theatrical motion pictures, television series/specials, and televised or streamed motion pictures will wait with bated breath till Jan. 9.

The grand bellboys for the 2026 Producers Guild Awards Event, Mike Farah and Joe Farrell are set to make this one unforgettable. Stepping in to orchestrate the spectacle are the dynamic team from Anchor Street Collective, with Branden Chapman as executive producer, and Carleen Cappelletti joining him as co-executive producer, Diane Salerno managing sponsorships, and the bright team at Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis handling the PR magic.
