"Off Campus": An Unmissable Sonic Rom-Com Hits the Airwaves
- May 28, 2026
Grab your headphones, folks! Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn, who you might recognize as Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis in Prime Video’s "Off Campus," will be embarking on an audio journey in their new three-part original audio romance, "Rent Free." This swoon-inducing spectacle is the second duet production by Quinn Originals, following on from Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie’s steamy "Ember & Ice."
An exciting teaser of episode one is already out in the wild on Quinn, with the first and second episodes due to hit the airwaves at 9 p.m PT on May 27.
If you're not familiar with the plot yet, it's spiced with opposites-attract chemistry. "Rent Free" follows a fiery, sparkling, and straightforward painter named Nora living in the hustle and bustle of New York City, while a bold, irksome, yet appealing ex-jock turned Wall Street hotshot Jack navigates the tricky waters of post-grad life.
Our little plot birdie describes the series in a nutshell: “Nora's life dramatically crumbles in 24 hours. She meets with betrayal, loses her flat, and suddenly goes homeless. With nowhere else to go, she crashes with Jack, her best friend's older sibling. Jack's life is a repeating cycle: work, gym, flings, repeat. Nora's entrance rattles Jack's orderly universe. What started as a momentary arrangement quickly spirals into something complicated, with plenty of messy implications. 'Rent Free' delicits audiences into a heady romance of one apartment, zero personal spaces, and two polar opposites.”
Quinn's Founder and CEO, Caroline Spiegel, says, “Seeing our users instantly click with the electrifying chemistry between Mika and Stephen was deeply satisfying. Their compelling connection lends such vitality to this tale, making them the ideal duo for this kind of immersive duet experience.”

The brainchild of Spiegel, Quinn was birthed in 2021 with its aim to reimagine erotica with immersive storytelling. From intimate role-play to cinematic productions, Quinn Originals premiered the following year, showcasing their most theatrical creations performed by top-notch talent.
Kalyn shares, “I had heard about Quinn before when I saw Chris Briney on it, and my curiosity piqued. Discovering that it was a graphically stunning storytelling app filled me with excitement - I couldn’t resist being a part of this.”
Abdalla had previously worked with the famous Shawn Hatosy in “The Pitt” and was intrigued as well. The duo further elaborates on their "Off Campus" pairing in Season 1 that is due to get screen-time in the second season, describing them as a "zesty couple", and chuckling about what surprises lie ahead for their fans.
Abdalla shares, “Both sets of characters have very specific fronts that they use to deny their attraction to one another. They both dip into vulnerability and then back out because they’re afraid. And I think that’s really fun to show to the world,” with Kalyn enthusiastically asserting, "Bring back yearning! 2026 - don’t stop yearning!”
Recently, Prime Video made a splash by announcing that "Off Campus," drawn from Elle Kennedy’s books, is the third most-viewed debut series in the app's history, with 36 million viewers tuning in during the first 12 days of streaming. And who knows, with "Rent Free," Abdalla and Kalyn might be hitting the jackpot again!
