If there’s one thing Travis Kelce knows it’s that juggling fame, football, acting and showbiz isn't always a walk in the park. Diving into the nitty gritty of his life with GQ, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end admitted that the thrilling ride of stardom caused a bit of slipping in his NFL performance over the "past two years."

Discussing the Chiefs' Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this year, Kelce said, “I think it might have slipped a little bit because I did have a little bit more focus in trying to set myself up. And opportunities came up where I was excited to venture into a new world of acting and being an entertainer.”

You might have spotted Kelce popping up here and there in unexpected places like alongside Adam Sandler in “Happy Gilmore 2” or in Ryan Murphy’s “Grotesquerie” series. In another exciting change of pace, he took on hosting duties on Amazon’s “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” and even commanded the stage on “Saturday Night Live” back in 2023.

But don't think this shift to entertainment has him hung up on regrets. As he said, “I don’t say this as ‘I shouldn’t have done it,’" confessing, “my work ethic is such that I have so much pride in how I do things that I never want the product to tail off, and I feel like these past two years haven’t been up to my standard.” Despite this focus on showbiz, he’s sure looking to ramp things up this year on the football field.

From athlete to celebrity to actor, Kelce's future remains an open question. He confidently shared, “I don’t necessarily know if I’ll take it and run with it when I’m done playing. But I know that I want to stay around the football world as a profession and then dabble in other areas as well.”

On a more personal note, Kelce's relationship with global superstar, Taylor Swift, has been a hot topic in mainstream media, adding another dimension to the spotlight on him. Even with paparazzi scurrying around at Chiefs’ games and Swift dropping her new album announcement on Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, Kelce emphasized their shared normalcy.

"We're just regular people," he stated confidently. Just two lovebirds living their best lives, even though from the outside looking in, it might seem like a whirlwind of fancy dates and glam events. He confessed, “Nothing I’ve ever done has been a controlled, organized process. We fell in love just based off the people we were sitting in a room together with. We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are. We share all those values. It kind of just took off.”
