Ted Lasso's Next Adventure: Season 4 is in Production!
- Jul 23, 2025
Cue the cheers – we're going back to Kansas City with Apple TV+'s much-loved sports comedy show, "Ted Lasso"! Shooting for the anticipated fourth season has commenced, with extra filming to be done in London. It's almost like getting a sneak peek behind the curtain of the Emerald City!
Apple has reassured fans that fan-favorite Jason Sudeikis will be lacing up his boots again as Ted for this thrilling new season. Plus, the gang's all here too – we can look forward to the entertaining escapades of the original cast, including stars Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift.
But wait, there's more! Fresh talent including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely are joining the ranks for the new season. Character details for these newbies are being concealed (pretty crafty, eh?) but we know for certain that Feely will be stepping into the shoes of Henry Lasso, Ted's son.
They're really cranking the suspense up a notch for season 4. The official tease? "Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team. This season, Ted and the team will be living by the mantra 'leap before you look,' daring to take risks they never imagined."

Behind-the-scenes stars include Jack Burditt as executive producer under his new deal with Apple TV+. Jason Sudeikis will grace us with his dual role of Toby and executive producer. Other big names in the production team include Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel, with Brett Goldstein penning as well as executive producing. Leanne Bowen will join in the writing and executive producer role too.
Doozer Productions' Bill Lawrence will also be executive producing alongside Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer. The writing process involves Sara Walker and Phoebe Walsh as writers and co-executive producers, with Sasha Garron co-producing, Julia Lindon in writing and Dylan Marron editing the story. Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television play their part in production while Sudeikis, Lawrence, Kelly, and Hunt mastermind the series based on the characters from NBC Sports.
"Ted Lasso" stole hearts when it first launched in 2020, and continued to warm them through its third season in 2023. Perhaps its popularity stemmed from the heartening storyline of spreading joy and kindness in the face of the harsh reality of the COVID-19 pandemic. This feel-good sports comedy show, touted for 61 Emmy Awards throughout its run, has already brought home 13 of those awards. Thanks to the show's unceasing charm, it snagged back-to-back honors as the best comedy series, with consecutive wins for Sudeikis and Goldstein. So, gear up fans – season 4 is about to kick off!
