As if magic in a bottle, the resourceful team behind "Jumbo," which holds the crown as Indonesia's highest-grossing film of all time, is betting on a fresh charming tale for their next big endeavor. Hold your breath folks; they're preparing to wow audiences once again!

Under the watchful eye of Visinema Studios, a much-anticipated rendition of the beloved children's book "Na Willa" is set to touch hearts and minds alike. Penned by the celebrated novelist Reda Gaudiamo, this heartening tale is the brainchild of the creative trio - director/writer Ryan Adriandhy, producer Anggia Kharisma and producer Novia Puspa Sari. If you adored "Jumbo,” prepare to fall head over heels with "Na Willa," their second collaboration.

The quaint setting of 1960s Surabaya, Indonesia, is where our young heroine, Willa, inspectingly examines her world with an enviable sense of wonder and sparkle in her eyes. The film is coined as a heart-warming homage to both the innocent golden days of childhood and the humble nature of Indonesian family life.

Lending his award-winning creativity to live-action cinema for the first time, Adriandhy extends the original spirit of "Na Willa" beyond simple adaptation. To aid in this charming endeavor, emerging starlet Luisa Adreena is slated to grace the screen as young Willa. Esteemed actors Irma Rihi (“Women from Rote Island”) and Junior Liem will join our little protagonist in creating an enchanting cinematic fairytale.

"‘Na Willa’ is more than just a story that has been brought to life. It encapsulates the magic that made ‘Jumbo’, extraordinary," Herry Salim, Visinema group president and CEO, sagely observed. "We fully intend to serve audiences with a film that not only wrings the heart but satiates the senses, sparking joy from the get-go."

Ryan Adriandhy echoed these sentiments, "The minute my eyes grazed the lines of ‘Na Willa’, I fell wholeheartedly. The book's genuine nature and simplicity will transcend splendidly onto the screen, and it will beautifully depict the whimsical reality of how life is perceived through the eyes of a child."

Author Gaudiamo, too, confided her excitement for the project: “I trust the 'Na Willa' crew who I know share a heartfelt fondness for this story, and I've already sensed this passion in every detail of the production."

The lights, camera, and action for "Na Willa" are well underway, with the film penciled in for a 2026 release. Fresh off the astronomical success of "Jumbo," Visinema Studios has already showcased its cinematic prowess, carving a unique niche in key international co-productions as well. Not to mention the studio's terrific collaboration with Pinkfong on an exclusive episode of the popular puppet series "Domikado." Here's to hoping that Visinema Studios' promising venture, "Na Willa", is set to follow suit, and bring a whole new world of delightful entertainment to each eager viewer!
