Who knew couple’s therapy could be such a hoot? Bursting onto the scene with its first trailer, "Splitsville" is the brainchild of acclaimed filmmaker Michael Angelo Corvino following his 2019 smash hit, "The Climb".

In the twisty tale of "Splitsville", we're taken on a tumultuous journey with Carey, played by the versatile Kyle Marvin, and Ashley, embodied by the talented Adria Arjona. After a year of marital bliss (or not so much), Ashley drops the 'D' bomb, requesting a divorce that sends Carey running for cover and solace to his two buddies, Julie (Dakota Johnson) and Paul (Corvino).

In sharing their secret sauce to happiness – an open relationship – things take an unexpected detour. When Carey and Julie get cozy, and their partners become aware of the secret rendezvous, the layers of their relationships start to peel off. This discovery leaves both couples on a roller coaster ride that’s as hilarious as it is heart-wrenching.

Also gracing the screen are exceptional performers David Castañeda, O-T Fagbenle, Charlie Gillespie, Nicholas Braun, Simon Webster, Prince Rodn3y, Jessika Mathurin, Stephen Adekolu, Tyrone Benskin, Nahéma Ricci, and Letitia Brookes.

"Splitsville" had its big debut at the esteemed 2025 Cannes Film Festival, and boy, did it sweep the crowd off their feet! Six whole minutes of continuous applause and uproarious laughter speak volumes about the film's reception. Speaking about the film's showcase at Cannes, Corvino emphasized the need for more comedies in such highbrow events and voiced his preference for hearty laughter to echo through theater halls rather than TV lounges.

Corvino's pen dance with Marvin is evident in the sharp script of "Splitsville", which they co-wrote and produced. Neon, Topic Studios, Watch This Ready, and Johnson and Donnelly’s TeaTime Pictures get their producer hats on for this film, with Emily Korteweg and Samantha Racanelli also joining in. The executive producer's chairs are filled by Arjona and Paul Barbeau.

So mark your calendars! "Splitsville", cinema's latest laugh riot, arrives to steal your hearts and tickle your funny bones on August 22.
