If you blinked, you might have missed it! The superhero splurge continues! "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," a sure-fire sizzler from Sony Pictures, has just swung into the record books, becoming the most viewed trailer ever with an eye-popping 718.6 million views in its first 24 hours.

Move over, Deadpool and Wolverine! Your once-record 365 million views now seem almost cute in comparison. In a webbed blur, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" already crushed this record within its first eight hours… all before you even had your breakfast!

This new record beats not just film trailers but all trailers across the board! Yes, you heard right. Even the hotly anticipated "Grand Theft Auto VI" game trailer has been left in Spider-Man's dust, which had managed to reel in 475 million views in its debut day. In a sneaky strategy of its own, Sony had released bite-sized snap previews showcasing titbits from the full trailer the day before, adding to the hype in a big way.

Audiences are simply gaga over Tom Holland's return as the super nimble Spidey since "No Way Home." Talk about multiple spider-mans! The previous flick united the various web slingers of the multiverse, featuring Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, and wrapped up a whopping $1.9 billion at the global box office.

The fresh teaser hints at a radically altered world for our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Four years post the "No Way Home," events, Peter Parker has chosen solitude and erased his identity from loved ones. Living out his Spidey responsibilities full-time in a New York that no longer remembers him, he faces escalating demands and an emerging evolution in himself that could compromise his existence. As if that wasn't enough, a fresh crime wave signals an imposing new enemy.

Rounding off the star-studded cast are celebs such as Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo. The film is masterfully helmed by director Destin Daniel Cretton and penned by script maestros Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Among the producing team are the illustrious Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Rachel O’Connor, with Louis D’Esposito and David Cain as executive producers.

So, folks, mark your calendars! On July 31, it's time for a "Brand New Day" in theaters. Prepare for a whole lot more of web-slinging action!
