That's right folks, Disney’s live-action revamp of the beloved 2002 animation, “Lilo & Stitch,” is ready to catapult itself onto your home screens via PVOD from July 22. This feel-good flick takes us on a journey with Stitch (with the delightful voice stylings of Chris Sanders) - a boisterous blue alien that crash-lands on Planet Earth, and Lilo (brought to life by Maia Kealoha) - a quirky Hawaiian youngster who brings Stitch into her world. Starting July 22, you can bring “Lilo & Stitch” home either by renting or purchasing through Apple TV, Amazon Prime, Fandango at Home, and YouTube. Helmed by Dean Fleischer Camp, “Lilo & Stitch” wowed the cinemas on its May 23 release date, raking in an impressive $146,016,175 in its opening weekend alone. The film even outpaced "Mission Impossible-The Final Reckoning," a fellow newcomer that weekend. Ultimately, “Lilo & Stitch” zoomed past $1 billion at the global box office, claiming the honor as the first flick of 2025 to hit that mile-high figure. Plus, compared to Disney's previous live-action adaptation, "Snow White," which drew some less-than-fairytale reviews in March, “Lilo & Stitch” was a box office bobby dazzler.

“Will audiences connect with the film?" mused Variety film critic Peter DeBruge. "'Lilo & Stitch' arguably has the upper hand through its emotionally rich storyline crafted by Sanders and DeBlois. The cherry on top for this remake? The slightly extended perspective on family relationships, thanks to tweaks by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and Mike Van Waes,” he added.
