Netflix Unveils Thrilling "Apex" Trailer Starring Charlize Theron

Grab some popcorn because Netflix just unleashed the thrilling trailer for their upcoming action extravaganza, "Apex". Hollywood A-lister Charlize Theron takes the lead role as a grief-stricken woman finding much more than peace and quiet in the Australian wilderness. It turns out she's got company - a cold-blooded predator, played with chilling aplomb by the uber-talented Taron Egerton. Joining the star-studded line-up is Eric Bana - because who doesn't love an unexpected surprise appearance?

In "Apex", Theron's character seeks solace in the heart of Wandarra National Park. She's got some dodgy directions from Egerton's character at a gas station and once she reaches her journey’s end, he’s already there, with a mischievous grin, ready to greet her. Her alarms bells really start ringing when he casually confesses to being the cunning thief who swiped gear from her pickup truck.

A high-tension game of "Hunt or be hunted” ensues, as envisaged in the trailer, with Egerton hot on Theron's trail. He’s armed with a loaded crossbow and gives her the slimmest of head starts - just the length of a song. She runs for her life through the forest, navigate fierce rapids on a rickety raft, while Egerton, sticking close behind, even follows her into menacing caves and down cliff faces. Talk about a breathless adventure!

Shot on location across New South Wales, including the scenic Blue Mountains, "Apex" is a visual spectacle. The film is helmed by versatile Baltasar Kormákur (“Everest”) and written by the sharp-minded Jeremy Robbins.

Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and David Ready from Chernin Entertainment team up with Ian Bryce from Ian Bryce Productions for the production end. RVK Studios lead, Baltasar Kormákur, doubles up as a producer, working closely with Theron, A.J. Dix, and Beth Kono under Theron's Secret Menu banner. Exec producers comprise Ray Angelic, Will McCance and Dawn Olmstead.
