'Buffet Infinity': A Scary Romp through Commercial Chaos Just Sold Out!
- Jul 26, 2025
Hold on to your popcorn and get ready for a wild ride as 'Buffet Infinity' - an innovative horror comedy told through the lens of TV commercials - has been scooped up for distribution in English-speaking territories.
Courtesy of writer and director Simon Glassman and starring Kevin Singh, Claire Theobald, and Donovan Workun, 'Buffet Infinity' is the brainchild of producer Michael Peterson of Peterson Polaris Corp. The film, which weaves together the cutthroat feuding of two restaurants in the fictional town of Westridge County and a meld of commercials, promises a narrative unlike any other.
According to the official tale-teller, the 'Buffet Infinity' plot echoes the hit Canadian comedy classic 'SCTV' while surfing on waves of low-budget TV ads. A sinkhole on the rise, a zealous cult, and a restaurant with a life of its own, transforms a mundane block of adverts into a feverish and spirited story.
Glassman's love affair with the idea of a film blurring the lines with advertisements dates back to the mid-'90s. Over the years, his inspiration found roots in 'The Simpsons' crossover episode promo with 'The X-Files.' This intriguing blend of narratives within commercials, as he recalls, created a unique immersive viewing experience.

"Through 'Buffet Infinity,' I dreamt of showcasing the evolution - and occasional hostility - of a brand as a sentient intelligence and invasive presence", shared Glassman. What started out as a 30-second YouTube sketch at the onset of COVID was transformed into a no-script venture with scenes being shot, re-shot, discarded, and then assembled together across five years.
"If my math's correct, we could probably whip up another full feature film with our remnants!" said a jovial Glassman.
The acquiring party, Yellow Veil Pictures, expressed their thrill at collaborating with Glassman. "'Buffet Infinity' packs in intrigue, fascination, and pure enjoyment while honoring the spirit of the zany SCTV comedy classic," the company stated. The team has forecasted a roaring reception for 'Buffet Infinity' at Fantasia audiences.
If this whetted your cinematic appetite, mark July 28 on your calendars for the world premiere of 'Buffet Infinity'. Stay tuned for further distribution details later this year!
