Ballerina’s Grand Finale: Where Does Ana de Armas’ Eve Go Next?
- Jun 16, 2025
Well folks, talk about an epic plot twist! For those who have been faithfully following the action-packed John Wick franchise, you already know about the latest spectacle on the scene - the inimitable Ballerina. This thrilling cinematic experience has certainly grabbed our attention, thanks to an unexpected twist involving Keanu Reeves’ iconic character John Wick. Epic thrill ride? Check. Keanu Reeves reprising his role as Wick? Check. Timeline issues? A definite ‘oopsie daisy' check!
Ballerina, one of the much-anticipated 2025 movie releases, stole our hearts, especially with the fierce performance by Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro. As the credits rolled, though, our minds were buzzing with one burning question, similar to hers after witnessing one of John Wick: Chapter 4’s most shockingly explosive moments.
By the end of Ballerina, Eve had finally avenged her father's death by killing The Chancellor, the big boss of The Cult. It’s like watching quite a cathartic end to a revenge saga that spanned over 12 years. But, alas, as they say in the action world, death doesn't fully wipe out the sins. With the fall of The Chancellor, the remaining Cult members lined up a $5 million bounty on Eve’s head. Talk about a post-credit scene!
At this stage, our brave heroine had holed up in the New York Continental, a safe zone where no 'business' a.k.a bloodshed can occur. But, as Ballerina reveals, if the price is right, some are willing to break rules, knowing quite well that the punishment is execution.

Here's the kicker though: the New York Continental's future is as on the line as Eve because as per the storyline, it’s about to face the wrecking ball, thanks to our very own Marquis Vincent Bisset de Gramont. The hotel was declared to be demolished as part of Winston Scott’s punishment for his failure to end Wick in Chapter 3. So, where does our heroine Eve go from here, especially with an army of assassins trained on her?
True, checking into another Continental is an option. After all, they're just like Starbucks, right? But, the other branches may not roll out the red carpet for Eve. What with the entire Cult and the assassin community wanting that bounty, it might be too risky for other Continental managers.
Then there's the issue of her loyalties with the Ruska Roma, which are practically non-existent after she dared to defy The Director. So, as John Wick: Chapter 4 unfolds, Eve finds herself without a lot of friends and a safe haven.
Lionsgate hinted at a Ballerina sequel in 2023, but the eerie green light hasn't flickered yet. If a Ballerina 2 does happen, here’s hoping they unravel more about how this New York Continental destruction saga affects Eve. A plot twist that ginormous simply can't be swept under the rug!
